one of my favorite parts of being a designer is inspiration hunting. i follow a pretty big handful of design blogs but one of my new found loves is, thisisnthappiness.com. their creator finds yummies from all over the blogosphere and posts them as a stream for all to see. here are some of my favorites:

if only...

i have recently been on the desperate hunt for a full time agency job. like most juniors, i have my dream agencies and dream positions. after a few...interesting interviews, i've realized what i really need is some good ol' fashion luck.

keep your fingers crossed, i've got a couple more interviews this week, hopefully they're better than the last few.

tangentially, i (like most) have been riding the zombie bandwagon. currently i'm obsessed with amc's the walking dead and have always absolutely loved danny boyle's 28 days later. with this print piece, i love that bozell of omaha, ne found a zombie inspired way to advertise ace hardware.

so whilst cruising the internet i stumbled across the viral factory. and i love them. they started in 2001 and are based out of the UK :( i would move there to work for them, all of their ads have a fantastic sense of humor. for example:

i just found the most absurd avdertisment, ever.

this is a fantastic campaign done by a blender company. their blenders are like $400! but at least you know you can blend pretty much anything.

i decided to highlight some not-so-good advertising today. everyone loves a good infomercial now and then, i have searched the net for some of the absolute worst (but in a funny way) here they are, enjoy!

new ads

here are some ads i'm in the process of finishing right now. they are for a new soda called "mary jane"; it is infused with kava root which makes it relaxing similar to mary jane! leave me comments about how you think they're coming along.

i love this one! all my cords get tangled up in my purse, it almost makes me want to get a bluetooth, almost. this was done by ogilvy brand center, and the art director was lars ecker.
